Dear Birthmother,
We have not met but we want you to know how much respect we have for you. You are the first steward of one of God’s children and have nurtured and protected this baby from the beginning. We have such admiration for you for bringing this baby into the world.
It is amazing how one person's challenging situation can be another's blessing. You may be in a place, right now, in which raising a child doesn't seem to make sense. We, on the other hand, have the challenge of infertility and a strong desire to raise a family. We can offer so much to a child and know that adoption is the direction that God continues to lead us.
Even though we are unable to have children biologically, God has blessed us in so many ways. After waiting several years, He has placed a beautiful baby girl into our family through adoption. We have also recently opened our arms to two young, lovable children who were in need of a permanent family. In addition, we are fortunate to have a strong, committed marriage, a marriage that will last until “death do us part”. We have close friends and family who love us. And most importantly, we have faith and hope to help us deal with anything that might come our way.
It is this faith that helps us to believe in God's will for our lives. We are ready to accept as many children into our family that God chooses to bless us with. We will make sure that your child grows up happy, knowing he or she is loved unconditionally. We also want your child to know how much love you, too, have for them. The decision you have made is completely selfless and they will grow up understanding the loving sacrifice you have made.
We desire to use all that we have learned throughout the years to raise your child to become a confident and loving individual. For example, we have a strong marriage and know how important it is for a child to see a loving relationship between Mom and Dad. We have lots of experience with children since we are both educators, Cindy is an art teacher and Mark is a school counselor. We have recognized the need for patience and a good sense of humor and we always try to consider what is in the best interest of kids. At home, we both share a love for gardening and the outdoors. We want to teach our child a love for nature and the beauty of God’s creation. We have three lovable cats and can’t wait to teach our child to respect all animals. We have learned not to take life too seriously and have a home filled with laughter. Our hope is that our child will appreciate humor and share in our laughter, for there is nothing quite as precious as the laugh of a child.
All of our waiting for a child has taught us to really appreciate all that parenting demands of us. Many complain about sleepless nights, diaper changing, and endless crying….we understand that it may take a lot of energy, but we welcome the challenge. Cindy plans to be a stay-at-home mom while raising our family. Mark continues to be the positive male role model that so many kids these days are missing. We both look forward to teaching our child strong values, good character, and a love for God.

Our marriage, our teaching experience, our interests, our home life, our families and our faith have helped form us into the people we are today….a couple who longs so much to be called “Mom” and “Dad” by one more child.
We believe our lives have come together for a reason. To be given a gift as precious as your baby would be a miracle for us. Our hearts are so full of love and our arms are ready to welcome this child into our home. We will love, nurture, and protect this baby for a lifetime. We are praying that during this time you, and we, will have the faith to let God lead the way. Just listen to your heart and do what you know is right, and we promise to do the same. Then watch for His perfect plan.
